“Her family has agreed to this?” The Sairah tried to avoid sounding like he was questioning Andisel’s plan, but did little to hide his amazement. “For her safe return, yes. It clears Trasik of everything we did and leaves no trail to us.” Andisel walked away from her second as she spoke and had been doing for their entire conversation. Walking helped her think. First followed her to one of the blindfolded servants stationed around the room and waited for her to take a glass off the waiting tray before continuing the conversation. “I’m surprised they didn’t try to free Lexx as well.” “They did…” Andisel took a sip from the glass. “And I was tempted.” An evil grin broke across her face. “But I really want to see him dead.” First nodded in full understanding, but a little concern. Lexx was just one player. He was a thorn in their side, but they had thousands of others they could bury him under.

  1. why do i have the feeling like she has a vendetta against lexx personally as well?

    1. Quite a change from her wanting him for breeding purposes for future players. isn’t it?

Then again, Lexx has been slipping through her fingers for sometime and seeing as shes trying to get away from taking on players how Lexx was acquired, Lexx is one big threat that she probably doesn’t want to handle with kid gloves anymore.

  2. Why is there a white mask-like thing on the servant’s face?

    1. I was wondering that as well. Perhaps something which blinds and deafens a servant who might could hear sensitive information. Perhaps for religious purposes.

Perhaps the servant was having a bad face day. I’ve had my fair share of them. 😀

      1. Hehe … bad face day .. hehe.

The mask is to prevent the servant from seeing anything, because it’s a secret who Andisel is.

        1. Given that she’s essentially a slave merchant who runs a pit fighting arena, it’s a sensible precaution.

        2. Probably an inadequate precaution – arrogant people tend to underestimate others, and servants generally know quite a lot that they are not ‘supposed to’ know…

        3. The windows into space wouldn’t help.

  3. Looks like furry ears, who is in it for the money – not evil for evil’s sake, is wishing he could change employers.

  4. There’s nothing more deadly than a cool tempered villain. :S So how does the servant get to here s/he is going? Vision is the primary sense for humans (Rysians or however you spell it). Is there another servant who relies on smell and sound to escort the other? (Too much brain.)

    1. Even without training your other senses, it isn’t all that difficult to get around a familiar area without sight, so long as one is able to focus and remember the relative position of objects, it only becomes a real problem when in an area you don’t know like the back of your hand.

If I were to hazard a guess, I would say that the servant tends to those same rooms without the mask when not attending her semi evil boss, and has some formal training with sightless orientation.

  5. Or, the blindfold might be a virtual reality headset.
