“Seriously.” Zaile tilted his head and leveled his eyes at Victor in a condescending look. “You have every animal on your planet outgunned and at your mercy as it is.” Victor felt a flash of heat rise from his chest to his neck and face. “We also try our best to protect them.” Zaile completely ignored Vic’s statement. “Just like a primitive. Anything that challenges your power and dominance must be destroyed.” Zaile stated loudly in a tone that was laced with sarcasm as he waved his arms in the air for emphasis. “That isn’t true.” Victor ground his teeth together, fighting himself to keep from yelling at Zaile. “You have no idea what you’re talking about.”

  1. Well, aren’t they the same? They’ve built a hierarchic society, with the rich people at the top…and the players at the rock bottom. Anything that endangers that order…the ruling class…gets crushed. So how’s it different?

    1. Well said! I will not argue the point. Humans are benevolent when they are well fed, and are kept happy and safe. Put them in danger, and more often not, they turn into snarling, savage beasts. I think it is best said here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-D2SHNqkjbY

      1. That is true of animal.
