“It has really changed in here for the better.” Riane swung her feet against the tree branch, her gaze lifted up at the canopy of golden red that was spreading out over her.
“How are you here?!” Zaile and Riley managed to ask at the same time, their voices quavering with the surprise of seeing Riane here and dreading what her presence meant.
“I’m a little gift from Riane when she was killed by Lexx here.” Riane continued swinging her feet, smiling broadly and enjoying the variety of expressions passing over her audience’s faces.

One week left in the month! If you're planning on donating, please do it soon! I know I've already said you get two weeks of M-F updates, even though it hasn't reached the midway point, but it would be nice to at least reach the midway point. All money generated by this comic goes to buying groceries, paying off my work tablet, server fees etc. Not doing anything 'fun' with it since those basics come first.
I passed the decision date fine, then everything fell off immediately after it, meaning I have to make not so fun decisions with the next chapter. Actually, I did NOT pass the decision date fine. I was just reluctant to change how the comic was done in the middle of the chapter and forgot/pushed it aside. June was the decision month and June ended at $100 of $300.. with the offering of extra updates. Yes, the profits from the kickstarter are going to be added, which at the moment is $781 - 10% for fees from Amazon and Kickstarter = $78 = 703 - Cost of printing the charms, $300-$375 - depending on how many are ordered of each = 400-$325 = $403 / $328 - Shipping = $50 or so = $353 / $328 - $50 for straps/chains/rings, etc = $303 / $278 probable profit. Which covers one month and will make up for the shortage, but as noted, I won't see it for two weeks until AFTER the kickstarter ends. This is due to Amazon being involved.
I can't keep pushing on the way that I am. I put in a lot of work time and it's become a chore. I had to face the fact that my daughter did NOT gain any weight when I'm supposed to be getting her to gain weight for an upcoming procedure because I simply did NOT have enough food in the apartment to give her extra snacks, because I persist in trying to keep this comic going in color when it's clearly not been working, so I've been trying to find other solutions to doing it faster so I can work on the things that do and STILL update. It's probably not all my fault. She's active, but I can't help but feel that it is and I'm failing all around. That was months ago and not an issue now. Don't worry about it. It'll still update regardless. I'm just scaling back how I do it so I have time to do other things.
I'll just get off the net for awhile - too emotional today to really be much use or make any sense.

See, this is why it’s a good thing that Lexx is with someone rational like Chel instead of, say, Claudia. Chel will at least wait for the full explanation before accusing Lexx of cheating on her with the pretty Rishan girl that’s living inside his mind :p

Tiff — you are forgetting one thing — Maybe a lot of people bought those charms instead of just doing a standard donation. I mean the charms you released for alien dice hit 188% of your goal. And from what you were saying the “drop off” looks to have been right around when the charms became available.

Nope. Not forgetting. The profit will be counted, but I won’t see it for another two and a half weeks. :/ The current goal is MOST of last month on top of all of this month.

*checks* June was actually lower than July has been. There was one week of extras added in June.

Tiff, I’ve read your comic for the longest time, and I LOVE IT! But… to know your have such money issues, I feel awful. I’m still young and don’t have a job, so I feel bad I have no money to offer. So, I guess all I can say is, please hang in there. Your a good parent, just look at the way you’re worrying about your daughter! You obviously care, which is more than some parents. I hope everything works out. If you need to make the comic lower quality for a while, we will all understand. You can always come back and make it better quality when times are better.
