“Do not concern yourself with them, Chel.” Caillem shook her head dismissively, walking Chel to a small table with a few plates and bowls laid out on it for a meal. It had a strong fruity smell, but unlike any fruit she had ever eaten. Chel sat down, her thoughts still on the kids. “They’re just kids.” Chel muttered pushing the food around on her plate. She had not decided if she was going to try any of it. She was hungry, but had suspicions about eating any of the food she was offered. She had obviously been drugged by food once, if not more times and had been undressed and dressed twice while completely unconscious. Chel shoved the disturbing thoughts aside for her own sanity. “No harm will come to them for the time being, Chel. Eat.” Caillem sat up on the other side of the table, bracing herself with her forefeet on the table. She spoke in an encouraging tone, but Chel still wasn’t sure she could trust her. She only had her word that she was Riley’s ‘pet’.

  1. They are being far too insistent on her eating. I would be very careful that I wasnt being drugged….

  2. Does anyone else hear this Dice talking with an Obi Wan Kenobi voice?

  3. … Am I the only one who thinks that the dice are just acting and that Chel isn’t really at Trasiks and the whole thing is a trap?

  4. i side with Fluffysama on that argument.

  5. Gotta’ love the slight hint of irritation on Caillium’s face in the last panel. Is that soup or some sort of syrupy sauce to dip the “fruit” in?

  6. When I was drawing it, I was envisioning it as a thick juice with lots of body and nutrients. Like drinking a cool, yummy melted strawberry milkshake with little bits of fruit in it. It can also be used as a dip. The bowl is a drinking bowl. 🙂 Littans drink most of their foods or eat very soft foods since many of them lack molars and only have fangs and front teeth. Obviously, Riley’s family has fangs and front teeth. Some are even missing the incisors and only have canines… some pull them out because they get in the way of sucking blooooood!!

  7. No harm “for the time being”. That just a LITTLE BIT ominous. I see them as hostages for Chel’s cooperation.

  8. I’m a little disappointed.
I was hoping to see Chel bonded to a dice.
Imagine the destruction when she got mad!

    1. Trasik very publicly agreed not to harm Chel. Bonding her to a die, given her status as a native guide from a planet that doesn’t officially know about dice, would certainly constitute harm.

  9. I don’t know about you guys but I if I was chel I wopuldn’t have been reinsured about that “for the time bing” part

  10. to “Me” : If that bowl had dipping sauce in it and not soup, then there would be alot more fruit…. unless the dipping sauce was also a type of soup…

to virnin: Not necessarily, if Trasik never used her in battle then her being a dice would just make her more portable.

  11. Actually, I think the text is updated starting here.
