“Damian, we will be leaving as soon as Riley and I have all our dice on your ship.” Lexx turned from his brother and walked away, fading out of the relay as he went. “Put your largest training room on standby.”
While they were conversing over the relay, Riley had returned to his ship with Keith, Fly and a still unconscious Stealth. Maelinn had witnessed everything and was following Riley closely with Keith and Fly also keeping close. Riley was taking them to the medical bay to have Keith checked out, even though it seemed the human only had a bloody nose, which he was dabbing gently at with a bloody cloth. Fly was draped over Keith’s right shoulder, the safest spot he thought he could be in for the moment.
“I don’t know how long we’ll be gone.” Riley stopped walking and paused to look out at the stars. He knew what was coming. Maelinn was going to want to come with him and he wanted to dissuade her immediately.
“I’m going with you, Riley.” She stated.
“Me too!” Keith added.
“I do not want you to come – either of you. This could be dangerous.” Riley spoke truthfully. He had no idea what they were going into and while it likely would not involve anyone but Lexx, Riley also did not want anyone who didn’t need to be there to witness the outcome. This wasn’t going to be a pleasurable excursion.
“I’m coming! I have to!” Keith persisted.
