"But you're not giving her a choice, are you?" Chel hissed back.
"..." Riley opened his mouth, but nothing more came out. He scowled, trying to think of a way out of the conversation. There really wasn't any way he could see other than stating the simple facts. "She's in the servant trade." Riley's fangs flashed in irritation. "It's her job. It's not like I'm telling her to have sex with Lexx."
"..." Chel's face turned red.

Yknow, Lisaan would probably be ECSTATIC to have a job cooking and cleaning, some nice quarters, and not being at risk of being forced to have sex, if you’d just walk over and ask her. Riley and Chel are BOTH being idiots today.

Yeah, they may be coming from opposite ends of the argument, but neither of them is really considering Lissan or her feelings. Riley’s treating her like an unwanted pet, and Chel is treating her like a child.
