“How is it better?” Chel found herself facing Lessa and feeling bad for even asking the question. Questioning someone else’s parent when she wasn’t old enough to be one herself was just an awkward proposition no matter how she looked at it. “Lexx thinks you’re all dead or don’t care about him.”
Lessa stared at Chel as though that very question had been one she had asked herself every day. Lessa closed her eyes and sighed, clearly wishing she did not have to face the answer.
“Human,” Lessa’s demeaning use of ‘human’ was not missed by Chel, but she listened anyway. “You don’t know the way things work in space. Regardless if you’re in a dream or a nightmare, it’s all fake. It’s not real.” Lessa stared at her left hand, turning it to show her three remaining fingers.

That blue glow in the last frame worries me when paired with the woman’s words. A hard light hologram controled by an AI created from her dying brain’s nural pattern? Shades of Ghost in the Machine, Anacronox, and several other movies/games I can’t remember the names of right now. X_x;

I’m still waiting for that explanation as to why it’s better. And I don’t see how giving him a ‘not real’ impression (that his mother is dead, and if this is a hologram, that she doesn’t exist in any way – and then there’s the rest of the family there…) could be ‘better.’

The ads on the page are getting intrusive no way to turn them off. The sound should be off by default, shouldn’t it?

I can’t remove the ad if I don’t know what it’s for. Auto sound IS default set to off, but some sneak in.
