"She's not in the way ... if you're not trying to seduce Lexx." Damian turned on Claudia, responding aloud to the thought. He had not intended to listen, but it had been too angry of a thought to not notice. It wasn't difficult to guess the meaning even though he couldn't literally read her mind.
Claudia immediately sent a stream of angry profanity toward Damian, which he was all too happy to block. They stood, staring at each other angrily for a moment.
"Damian," the pair of them turned immediately to the end of the hall where Chel, Fluffy and the monster dice had just stepped off the stairs and onto the floor. "This human says she is Chel."
Damian smiled immediately, hoping that Chel had not overheard any of the conversation. It didn't seem like she had. Her thoughts were more directed at the hulking dice behind her.
"Uhm ... please tell him I'm Chel, he's threatening to eat me."
"Good boy, Wraith." Damian stepped forward and praised the massive dice. "It is Chel." Then he turned to Chel. "Don't worry about Wraith, he's all teeth and no bite."
Chel didn't fully believe him.
