Stealth took the bait and lunged for Mischief and hit the log.
But the otter was no longer there.
Mischief dove into the mud and flicked her tail about to give her more propulsion. Stealth leapt in right behind her with a snarl. The mud went up to her chest and sucked at her feet as she tried to keep up with the otter. Mischief literally swam through the mud.
"I think we'll be going to the island before we return to The Rift today …" Lexx watched the scene from higher up the same hill. He had no desire to get anywhere near the mud and ruin yet another outfit. "Let someone else clean up the mess." He grumbled to himself, watching Stealth chase after the otter.
