Chel suddenly spotted something reflective on the very bottom of the drawer she was looking in. She pulled out a small, slightly scratched up mirror. It was only five inches across, but big enough for her purposes … if it were actually glass. It looked like glass. Chel flipped the mirror over and smacked it as hard as she could against the edge of the drawer. It cracked instantly. Jayne and Tayne stared as Chel carefully snapped off fragments of plastic and a few large shards of glass. She was left with roughly half of the little mirror intact. There were cracks in the glass, but the plastic was still intact. “This’ll work.” Chel smiled and studied the glinting edge she had created.

  1. Seriously? Unbreakable mirrors are old tech on earth, and psych wards forbid glass mirrors for exactly this reason.
