Riane sighed once the imp was gone and settled into Lexx’s oncoming dream. She spoke words of encouragement while doing minor manipulation and guidance to his dreamstate. “Rest, Lexx.” The darkness gave way to brilliant golds and green with a gentle sun floating overhead. Lexx stood in a field, running his hands over the tops of tall grass. He could almost feel the texture of the blade tips slipping beneath his fingers. “Don’t give in.”
“Don’t lose yourself.” Chel was smiling at Lexx, both from afar and before his eyes. “You have so much to live for." Comforting warmth overtook Lexx as he walked toward Chel.
