Victor sighed and slowed down halfway down the hall, waiting for Chel and Keith to catch up. Riley stopped a few feet away, looking back at the group. “As long as everyone cooperates in the best interests of the human population, then Lexx honestly has nothing to fear.” Victor reached out and rested his hand on Chel’s shoulder. He knew he had to be careful with what words he chose, but at the same time, did not want Chel to worry more than she had to. “There is not a single member of your mom’s team who would ever dream of dissecting anyone.” “I guess that’s some comfort …” Chel nodded. “Just about everything we would want to do can be done with minimally invasive procedures.” Victor added. “… okay …” Chel shivered. While her father was trying to help, saying such a thing brought to mind a large number of possibilities that might be minimally invasive by some standards, but not pleasant.

  1. “Minimally invasive” includes small incisions to get at things, but I’m pretty sure what Vic means here is things like drawing blood, xray-type imaging, and other stuff that’s technically invasive but doesn’t involve actually cutting him open. Especially if he’s willing to help explain any differences from Earth humans.

    1. Technically, they don’t even need to do those tests. He can provide them with dataplates. Loads and loads of dataplates all about rishan anatomy. And littan, and basically any other species they see. Even the many base species for the dice.
