“Who do you ‘belong’ to?” Chel slid off the bed and smoothed out the dress.
“Her brother, Riley,” Caillem seemed to gush with pride. “Who has contacted me with instructions.” Caillem stood up on her hind legs, folding her forearms tightly against her as she side stepped away from Chel and swung her head toward a set of stairs. “First, I am to take care of you and make sure you eat, then take you for a walk.”
Chel rolled her eyes before she could stop herself. Yes, that all sounded like Riley.

I think Chel will be massively relieved at having Cailem there since she belongs to Riley, AND he contacted her somehow to give her instructions specifically about Chel. That implies that Riley knows what happened (which Chel couldn’t be sure of before) and is doing something about it. She still doesn’t know what he’ll do, but any comfort is something.
Also, I agree on the adorableness of the other three dice. They’re probably pretty harmless though, they’re obviously not battling dice and seem young. Also, on Cailem, she’s not necessarily related to Sirius you guys. She just has the same species as her starting base. Sirius is more likely to be related to Serenity, if anyone we’ve seen at all.

Forgot to add, I wonder where the heck they are. It looks like outdoors, which is a weird place to have a bed, and a prisoner.

I wonder if Trasik knows that Riley sent Cailem… Or if Trasik knows and is using this as a way to keep tabs on her brother’s actions.

You know. What if Trasik decided to make Chel a Dice and use her against Lexx. That would really be a blow. because Geneticly any species is possible at becoming a Dice. Though im not sure how to make someone or something a dice I’m sure Trasik knows. though of course if the artist let that happen then they might lose a lot of viewers.

That whole conversation seemed almost like the groundwork for an extraction plan or a way to establish communication with a prisoner for future rescue… I’m thinking those “instructions” will cover more the eating and walking.

I like Caliem’s expression in the last panel. It says she’s in on the joke.
Also, if the laws of comic drama has anything to say about this plot, Trasik’s dice are really the most dangerous dice in existance; they just use cuteness to lull their opponents into a false sense of security!

I personally enjoy going for walks, before or after food, and always prefer to have a companion, so going for a walk for calming/companionable purposes sounded so natural to me I didn’t see the “pet” association until it was pointed out in the comics.

Well on the plus side he’s RILEY’S dice…on the negative side…she’s now been saddled with the occupation of ‘pet’ and god only knows how that is.
