"I'm up for a good fight!!"  The kangaroo was fast. She jumped forward before Zeta had time to react, balanced perfectly on her tail and swung out her right foot as hard as she could.  The blow caught Zeta upside the head, slamming his jaws shut with a loud cracking sound and sending a burst of pain into his head.  He took one step to the side, and then fell to his side, stunned. Then, she turned to Steel, who was just standing there. She attempted to do the same, but the ram didn't even budge. He just stood there, glaring.  Rook scowled, using her tail to keep herself upright as she smacked her feet into Steel's head repeatedly, determined to get him to fall down. He didn't budge. Rook finally gave up after a few minutes and a worried expression crossed her face.  She had expected this to be quick.  She would take them both out, then hop away laughing at Lexx. "Try again, Rook?"  Steel snorted, glaring at the kangaroo.

  1. Well, I would guess Lexx DID have a plan, when he brought Steel…and I guess Rook didn’t remember his…shall we say ‘sturdiness’? 🙂

    1. Well, Rook’s plan involves kicking Steel in the head, but this time around Steel’s form seems to be based on a ram — it still has the curled-back horns that rams have, in addition to the antlers that appear to be from its original base form. Rams have combat with each other by butting heads/horns at high speed with great force, so to protect their brains they have much thicker skulls than most other animals. Rook isn’t familiar with Earth life forms, so she wouldn’t have been aware of this particular anatomical feature.
