Vic and Keith exchanged an annoyed glance before Vic spoke. “Really? Is it a good idea to keep Lexx in the dark?”
“He’s going to sleep through the entire mission. Riley has seen to it.” Claudia laughed as though it was normal to take over for a friend and not let them know what was going on. Her entire manner further aggravated Vic. They may want to help Lexx, but they had no problem with throwing him aside in the process, just like they treated Vic and Keith. “And since this is Riley’s home, he’s just going to go down and get Chel, then we go back to Earth. Easy as starberry pie.
“And I assume we are to simply sit here and wait?” Vic did a horrible job of disguising his sarcasm, but it didn’t matter. Claudia went on.
“Well, yes, it’s Riley’s family estate. He says the fewer people the better.” She then added as though it were some comfort, “Don’t worry, you’ll have Chel back soon!”
“I would feel better if I were actually there, but I understand.” Vic only conceded knowing that they didn’t have a choice. They had been brought along only because they were there, not to offer any assistance.

Oy. Wouldn’t want to be in Vic’s shoes… Having to just sit and *wait* like this must be torture.

Well, what did he expect? He made chel take him so he could “investigate,” which he really had no right to be doing, he blew off half the aliens anyway, and he was already acting as if he had a say in any if this, and by doing that immediately forfeited any respect or say he had any chance of.
But he will still probably be brought along to whine at the “mean aliens” anyway, and be a concerned father that we can’t help but take pity on.
*sigh.* this is why I hate him.

I’ve never had starberry pie. I’ve listen to Chuck Berry and seen movies starring Halle Berry. I’ve read Huckleberry Finn. One time someone said my father smelt of Elderberries.
I have had a Moon Pie though.

heh as soon as i read “starberry pie” i was like “how does an alien know about strawberries/ there is a strawberry pie?” then reread it and was “OHHH starberry pie!”

Strawberry pie is VERY easy to make. But presumably starberry pie is a different berry.
