Day 26 Part 2 Page 16

Elsewhere, a relay message was being sent over a private and secure channel. “I have a personal bet I would like to place with the head of the ADC.” There was an encoded response. “As an investor.” More encoding, confirming the connection to leave a message. “It concerns Shira Lexx. I await his response.” The channel remained open for further communication, but the initiator was not waiting around for it. --------------------------- End of this chapter! Yick. It's after my bedtime, but I'm up making sure all the text is done so I can be right on schedule for tomorrow. Due to me being resistively ill all week (stomach ache that wouldn't go away and one day of running a low fever on top of an all day evaluation for Kim to see if she had a disability and what we could do about it... did not finish three pages of work. One of those was an AD page, so there's only an update for Monday and Wednesday as of the time I'm tiredly typing this. Kim's been diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder- NOS (part of the autism spectrum, which is VERY big.) We didn't catch it as soon as it should have been caught, because she is HIGHLY social. We'll get a full report in a month or so, but that's the initial finding. It just means she's going to be taking advantage of opportunities for group counseling and therapy to help her with things she has problems with. I've probably mentioned it before, but she's left handed with a right handed brain. She can't print neatly and it's something that really frustrates her and now we know, this and a few other things are likely NOT things she CAN improve, no matter how hard she tries. She's left handed, because they weren't watching what they were doing in the hospital and had her right arm either bound or tied up so she couldn't use it to prevent her from grabbing at the tubes and lines. She laid on her right side too much. So if you ever have a child in the hospital - make SURE they rotate them! :D We're glad they were able to identify a few things we kind of suspected were different, but weren't sure about since we only have one child and have NO idea what 'normal' is on any standard. :D We're just happy she does well in school and likes it. - Tiff

  1. Private Bet with the head of the ADC?

    COlor me heavily Suspicious.

So, another part to this day or is the day over with finally and we move on to part 1 of Day 27? Cause if we do, the start of the Gauntlet is not far away.

  2. Hello, Zaile….

    or not?

  3. How many quatloos is he betting?

  4. “His” response? Isn’t the head of the ADC female?

    1. Nobody knows that beyond a VERY small number of people.

  5. It’s been a long time since I first found Alien Dice. I remember when the first pages were starting. A couple of years ago, I stopped reading due to life stress and waning free time, only now have I come back. Reading through the archives holds a certain nostalgia for me, in a way, like a fan coming home. AD was the first web comic I have ever had the pleasure to read. From here I found Dominic Deegan, and so many others to wet my growing appetite for new creative and ingenuitive stories on the world wide web. From then on I was hooked on art, and literary design, branching out to so many wonderful opportunities. I found a passion for the art of story telling, and made many irreplaceable friends of whom I call family through my pursuits. I’m not a popular artist or well established novella, but I can honestly say I am very happy for how much I have gained today.

All of that thanks to a web comic that planted the first seed of inspiration in my heart by opening a doorway I otherwise ,possibly, would never have known. A web comic called Alien Dice.

It’s nice to be back here, though strange in that even tough I have been a long time fan, this is my first post. Thank you so much for giving your hard work so freely for us to read, and continuing the comic for so long.

I can honestly say that AD has had a hand in my teen years, giving me that extra push I needed towards the path I walk today.

With regards, much love, and warm thanks,

    ~Roslyn

  6. First guess – Riley’s father.
    Second – Zaile.
I suspect the prize to be obtained is Lexx’s sister.

    Hello Roslyn. welcome back.
