There is always a way to deal with “invincible” heroes. Superman is vulnerable to magic. Wonder Woman is vulnerable to being tied up by men, Captain Marvel is vulnerable to the Eiffel Tower, or subway cars, or a car park with a tin roof.
Even invulnerable foes like Juggernaut can be defeated with a little strategy. Get his helmet off. Attack his mind. Or throw him in an active volcano, supercool the magma with super chilled saltwater, then bury the huge block of stone deep in the marianas trench and bury it there. Alternatively, simply place him on the moon, or put him in a chamber that artificially ages him to the point where he dies of natural causes and the suit comes off.
And he’s Juggernaut. As physically invulnerable as they come in the Marvel universe.

It’s a remnant of her creator. He thought young girls needed a strong female role model in comics. He also had ideas about strong women and… ‘loving submission.’ Seriously. Her treatment has always been spotty over the years, because she’s strong, yet motherly and gentle. The bondage thing is downplayed nowadays. Its original purpose was to get her popular and sell comics, so every issue, the cover would have her tied to something, usually phallic, in a situation of danger.
And then there’s the fact that back home, she used to play ‘binding games’. She mentioned this while tying two women up, and that’s why she’s so good with knotwork.
And then ASBAR reared its ugly head. You know, the one where Wonder Woman walks down the street and shoves a guy out of her way, calling him ‘sperm bank’. Yeah, she might be hard to write, but if she were given to someone who understood her better, she’d probably not be written as an unreasonable bitch or an idiot.
Now, as to her creator’s feelings about it, I won’t deny there is a highly appealing aspect to a strong woman in bondage, but it’s really not so titillating when she’s crying. Or complaining. Or threatening her captors with murder.
In conclusion, yeah, Most writers don’t get wonder woman, but that’s all behind us with the relaunch.

Actually, the weakness is having her bracelets tied by a male.
She gets so weak, she can’t even lift her arms or walk. Not ready a weakness, though. Look what a guy would have to go thru to tied her hands together.
