Day 27 4 12

Together, Lexx and Chel walked toward the interior of the island, following a wide path of black sand.  Large chunks of black volcanic rock were arranged on the sides of the path.  Chel could feel the heat from the sand through her shoes and grumbled to herself about aliens bringing the black  sand in because it looked pretty, without realizing that it would probably burn your feet if you were barefoot. Lexx stared ahead, not saying anything as he walked close to Chel.  The path was not long, but it took enough time that the silence between them was noticeable. I can hear my heart beating. Lexx reached out with his right hand, gently brushing Chel’s fingertips. I feel twisted and tight inside. Chel followed the gesture with her fingertips sliding into Lexx’s much larger hand. My throat is knotted. They held hands in silence, not looking at each other as they walked slowly.  Lexx didn’t often reach out, but he felt a strong need for touch.  Where he had previously felt revulsion at such contact, he craved it from Chel.  It was still an awkward sensation after so long rejecting any contact, but his thoughts pushed him where his body wasn’t as willing to cooperate.   He had made the effort before, but this was different.

  1. Aww, so cute.

  2. I sort of know that feel. I greatly dislike physical contact; but sometimes, ya know? Only from certain people, though. >_>

  3. Gah, tiff, why u make me feel lonely!?
    jokes aside, DAAWWWMYGOSH…

    1. What? D: I had to suffer through WRITING this and the upcoming updates all at once! You only get a piece of it at a time. 😀

      1. Only a piece at a time? Thats called being a tease you know :p

  4. So, which love song shall we play during this scene in the movie?

    1. A thousand years (the minecraft version)

  5. I am now going to go find a wordpress plugin to add like buttons.

  6. …why would black sand burn you?

    1. Because it gets incredibly hot in the sunlight. Just like walking over a blacktop road in the summer sun.

      1. Yup, I was unaware of that fact when I colored it. It was done, no quick fixing it,so Iaddressed it. 😀

        1. Having been to a black sand beach and walked barefoot on it in the midst of summer, I can’t say that it’s anything like asphalt, which I have also literally burned my feet to blistering on. Black sand is warm, sure, but very comfortably so…
