Day 26 Part 5 Page 01

Day 26.5 Lunch was served in a small room with a table and three chairs. The trays were brought in by scientists still in hazmat suits. One for Vic and one for Lexx. Lexx wasn’t sure he wanted to eat what was being offered and was even less sure when the lids were lifted. There were two bowls on the trays and a cup of water. The bowl on the left was filled with a steaming red soup with small bits of orange and green that Lexx couldn’t identify. The second bowl was full of leaves and even more sliced and whole items that were unfamiliar. Vic grumbled something about rabbit food, stirred the soup and then stabbed a fork into the middle of the salad to grudgingly begin eating. Lexx stared at his bowls, not sure if he even wanted to try it. He picked up the silverware and moved it off the tray, then pulled it a little closer so he could examine the offering. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Weekly update! Yeah... I said SOMETHING about simplifying the work and it turned into this.  :D  This isn't simplifying.  Updates every day, because they are small.  I think I'm not going to worry about the page sizes and just divide them how they read best. I ran into a little issue with some of the page files for the full page archive.  I have lost three pages of full sized files. I'm going to TRY to find the time to begin working out how to prepare the books.  There are pages that are HORRIBLY set up, because I had no idea what I was doing and there wasn't information on proper dimensions for comics online when I began. I have two options.  The first couple of books may be 8.5 x 11 in size to make full use of the space for text to be WITH the comic it belongs with. I know having books two different sizes annoys people.  It will bother me a little too. The other option... make them all 6 x 9, ignore the fact that some pages will have really tiny text on the comic and be happy the text is right there, even if you can't read the text easily on the pages themselves.  This bothers me too. :D I'm thinking about an "It's Not Fair" tshirt and a "Quack!" tshirt using the same image for the charm of Syphon, whose name I need to verify the spelling of.  It's Siphon or Syphon. :D  Probably Siphon. Kim goes back to school five weeks from today and I reclaim my work time.  :D - Tiff

  1. I seem to be thinking of a Weird Al Yankovic song here. ^_^

    So will Lexx “eat it”?

  2. As well he might – any one of those ingredients could give him a case of the you-know-whats…

Lexx: Well, I’ve got bowel cramp and bloating. On the plus side, I seem to have acquired a chemical weapon… *ah*

Chel: Ewwwww! That’s worse than Swiftpaw!!

  3. Actually that looks pretty good for cafeteria food…

  4. On the plus side, at least it’s all vegetables: think how much more disconcerting it would have been for Lexx if they had served steak . . .

    1. “What is this made from?”
      “Cow.”
      “Like dice?”
“Sort of, except not very intelligent, and very belligerent.”

  5. Hah! Vic’s response is a lot like mine when it comes to salad!
