Lexx stared at the woman blankly, unable to fully comprehend what she was saying. All of his dice had been able to speak immediately after bonding.
“Why?”
“They have a capacity for it.” The woman rattled off excitedly.
Lexx glanced at the chicks. They were tiny reflections of Zeta and Epsy, likely to be troublesome and underfoot if they returned with them. They weren’t something he wanted to deal with.
“What are you going to do with them?” Chel asked, cuddling two chicks at once.

Okay folks, we’ve got a top writer incoming, but she’s only cleared to see the chicks! Get E and Z into the observation room, and get the other dice out of here, pronto – we don’t want to keep Lauren Faust waiting!
