Day 27 4 11

Lexx pulled Damian aside in the relay, thankful he had that option without anyone else knowing what he was doing.  “Do me a favor.  Keep Keith busy, I want some time alone with Chel. Damian completely misread Lexx’s intentions, judging by the immediate  smile that flashed onto his face and teasing, “Ooooooooooo!!” “Do you seriously think I would use my situation to take advantage of her?”  Lexx snapped. “No,…”  Damian shook his head quickly, the smile still plastered on his face. “But,… if she offers, don’t say no!” --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's the beginning of the month and the beginning of the week!  You can see the full week's update all at once every Sunday if you support me via Patreon for as little as $1 a month!   $2 would be nicer, but $1 is more than $0 and $0 doesn't go far in supplies/groceries or gas! - Tiff

  1. Chel wouldn’t offer that! Keith might, but I’m not quite sure he’s intelligent enough to be legal.

Say what you will about Zeta, at least Zeta makes himself useful. The only thing Keith has going for him is a rampant imagination.

  2. Heh…well, bluntly put, he’s in that very situation the soldiers on the eve of war tend to be in. They need to go heaven alone knows where and there’s no telling at all whether they’ll ever return.

To keep long things short, those years really saw a peak in solo young mothers…and Lexx is in that exact situation right now…and Chel knows it might be her last chance to get that close to Lexx.

So personally, I wouldn’t rule out the option of her offering, though I too think it’s unlikely.

    1. Well, she has told him outright that she’s waiting for marriage. She clearly isn’t the kind of girl who would put out without being married first, and having sex won’t improve his chances at all. In fact, it would make it worse. He’s going to need all the stamina he can get.

Also, I have not read her other stories, but in this one, Tiff has shown no hint that either of them would offer to do the deed. It doesn’t seem like Tiff to have a storyline with a plot twist like ‘Lexx died in that gauntlet, but his legacy will live on, for his son carries on the fight.’

Yeah, no, that kind of thing would turn me off the comic. Also, that would be a dramatic shift in personality for both of them. Lexx would not accept, even if Chel offered. In fact, he would probably be upset, because that kind of thing, even in jest, would distract him, and cause him harm.

      1. Hmm, can’t seem to remember that. That said, I could imagine that the two of them would be getting married that night. I mean, Vegas is only a snap away for Lexx, right? 😛

Though I do see your point about the stamina. It’s not just the stamina, but sex tends to throw your entire hormones into disarray, which may leave him unfocused at a critical time.

The important thing here right now is, that he needs something to live for. More than just once ‘having something to live for’ has brought back people from the brink of death, where nobody had ever thought it possible. And he’s going where ‘survival’ is not expected.

Hmm…I still wouldn’t rule it out. I mean, they’re young and while Chel has been very reasonable so far, the brain tends to…well, screw up if the mood is right and the hormones kick in.

Yeah well, it would certainly screw things up, but Lexx’ personality has been shifting pretty rapidly as of late anyway. In fact he’s acting like a pinball from being gloomy to being euphoric.

Well, we’ll see what Tiff has planned in due time, wouldn’t you agree?

        1. She might tell him to come back to her. That would certainly do it. She could also tell him that he won’t lose.

In a meta sense, however, we have seen nothing beyond mild innuendo and hinting, and unless Tiff plans to change the intended audience, I don’t see that actually happening. I gotta say, I half expect the gauntlet to be mostly just mock fights from all Lexx’s friends. I mean, they would be pretty lousy if they didn’t do something to help. Riley is entered into the gauntlet, naturally.

One thing I am a little confused about is a detail of the gauntlet. Is there a time limit to each match, or do the matches go on until there is a victor? I would assume there is a time limit, since the evil dude is going to be Lexx’s final opponent.

Seriously, should be fantastic. Especially how you just know that Lexx will almost black out, until he hears Chel’s voice. Then he steels himself, and forces himself to fight on, turning the battle around.

Tiff wouldn’t kill Lexx off now, just when we’re getting answers and info. We all know Lexx will win. The question is how. I mean, he could be defeated and taken alive. He might kill the bad man, and the ADC head, then violate his contract to expose them. This ensures his death, but he would be the victor. Again, more meta, but Tiff has been building all this character development, for Chel, for Lexx, Riley, Damian, and… okay, not Claudia. She’s still a shallow bitch. But all this character development is leading up to something big, and the payoff is gonna be amazing!

OH! They should televise the gauntlet. All over the world. As Chel’s little act of rebellion against dad. I wonder if Damian could arrange that. It would make Lexx an international celebrity, and ensure that the ERA can’t take him because he’ll be watched. Maybe wishful thinking on my part, but if he wanted to screw the ERA over, he could reveal their existence, his existence, and his heritage. Such fun!

  3. Oooooooooooh!

    BWAHAHAHAHHHAHAHHAHHAAA

  4. Damien is thinking “Lexx wants the booty!” You can see it on his face!

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  5. I have a huge favor to ask of the fellow cat lovers who read this comic; I’m hoping Mrs. Tiff doesn’t mind! We found a stray who had been hit by a car the other night. I took him home, advising my husband that I didn’t feel our guest would still be with us when he got home from work in the morning. We just didn’t think anyone/thing should have to die in the road in a storm. However, this gorgeous young man is still with us and is doing well. Not only that, but he has an amazing personality to boot! However, I am between jobs, and we already have too many animals for the tiny house we rent. So please, if you can, spread the word! We have more information and pictures in the “website URL” I listed.

  6. This young man IS considered special needs. He is possibly partially blind and will likely need to have his bladder expressed for him, even if he regains function of his hind legs.

  7. Damian still reminds me of me. A silly goofball who likes to tease but cares very deeply about his friends. That fact he didn’t even flinch to save Chel (technically a few days ago) says a lot about his convictions.
