Day 29 Part 2 Page 1

“You saw what happened when you arrived. It will be some time before the public is ready.” Jonathan answered casually. “Then what are we going to do?” Korbaen inquired, realizing this was the first time he got to ask a question. “You’re going to stay out of sight, be interviewed repeatedly, and undergo some minor testing.” Mel stated cheerfully, as though it was all going to be fun and games. Korbaen took the answer with a smile. He didn’t feel he had anything to fear from the humans. Kane, however, felt nothing but cold chills at the word testing. Anytime she had heard that word in the past, it had involved a considerable amount of pain on her part.

  1. “We’re going to test your ability to master Dance Dance Revolution!”

    “Uh, why?”

“We have a pool going on which one of you is more coordinated and agile. And I lost the last pool on who Keith’s Chupacabra would bite first.”

    *Nonplussed stares*

  2. Love Kane’s “wheres the nearest exit?!” expression. Also i’m PRETTY sure that as long as Chel’s mom (cant think of her name) is running the tests things wont get too bad.

  3. Blood tests hurt. It’s not like giving blood where the blood flowes naturally. The sensation of having something trying to rapidlly and forcefully remove your blood makes your body panic and send burning pain to the area! 🙁

    1. I have one every three months – not that bad. 😀

      1. You’ve built up a tolerance. -_-

      2. I was in a children’s medical center as a kid for detox. Blood samples every day. to this day, I still dislike those tiny butterfly needles. I prefer the big 16 gauge needles for having blood drawn.

No offense, but I think you may be having psychosomatic symptoms. Or maybe it’s just because I’m awesome.

    2. Some of that pain is in the mind. If you’re afraid of the needle, it hurts more.

      1. Probably. I hate needles, but my dad doesn’t and he said he understood my pain, so maybe it’s different for different people.

    3. If the person drawing blood is good at it, it’s pretty easy. And I HATE needles, far more than the average person. Even I can manage it with tricks like “pick a piece of art, stare at it, and talk your mouth off”. Distracting the heck out of yourself is a useful skill sometimes!

  4. Heh, her face says “yeeeeeeg!” while his says “eh, I can live with that”. XD
