A glimmer of light caught his eye too late as a twisting energy lash whipped through the air behind him. Lexx relaxed his wings, attempting to drop below them, but the golden cords curved and twined, wrapping around his wings. Nausea flooded his body as he fell to the thick grass below.

Movement was almost impossible as the cords writhed over his body, draining energy everywhere they touched. His limbs felt as though they were filled with concrete, and he pushed against the ground, gathering himself to break free.

Tiny round balls skittered around him on stick legs. More cords shot out of their gleaming metal bodies. Lexx ground his jaw, energy surging into his hands, bright blue light flashing before him.

Text will come later. My head isn’t in it today. Using a new coloring method and wishing the night would END.. yes.. it’s nearing morning, but argh… it has to happen gradually. I’m going to redo the scripts for the next chapters. I am so not pleased with the bad pacing I’m doing and I know it was done during the time I was having Covid issues… :/ Going to lay them out differently.

I’m doing much better and just don’t talk about it because it feels like whining. 😀 Hanging in there. – Tiff
