Skri spread her wings, maximizing her surface area in an attempt to slow her fall.  She was also studying the outcroppings for possible places to land.  So far, she wasn't seeing anything promising and Chel's nails were digging into her legs. Chel grimaced.  She was having a difficult time breathing and the wind was so cold and rough, it was stinging her face and making her eyes water.  'Oh … this is going to hurt!!"  She glanced at the ground, then up at Skri.  "Let go of Skri!"  Chel blinked.  She had been hoping that somehow Lexx could get here in time, but hadn't actually expected him to arrive.  'Lexx!'  She didn't move, letting it sink in.  He was talking to her aloud and through the relay. "Chel!  Let go! NOW!"  Lexx was just below Skri, wings folded enough so that he was falling at almost the same speed.  They didn't have a lot of time.  If Chel didn't let go in time, he could get tangled up with Skri and they all would fall. 'I have to trust Lexx …'  Chel stared ahead, making up her mind.  'I do trust him.'
