"Really now?" Victor shifted in his seat, sliding one hand under his coat. "We happen to have come across a few samples of blood that contained human DNA."
"That explanation would take a long time." Riley leaned back in his chair, balancing it on the back legs. "Let's just say he is genetically human, but not from Earth." Victor felt the hair on the back of his neck prickle. "You could also find many similarities in my DNA to humans." Riley paused for effect. "But I'm not human."
"Mind if I take a sample?" Victor inquired politely. He fingered the ring of metal he had in his left hand.
"Yes, I do. Stay over there. Most of us will be gone in 30 days,… the rest, shortly after." Riley stated, unaware of what Vic was contemplating.
