Dash did not have time to correct his descent. He was too close to the ground to use his wings to slow down, but Dash tried anyway. The ostrich had quickly circled around Dash, head up eyes fixated on the other dice as he hit the ground with a loud thud. Dash rolled several times in the dirt before coming to a stop on his side. He panted, taking a moment to catch his breath in a cloud of dust. Dash sneezed once, then opened his eyes to see the flash of a large foot coming down at him. Dash yowled as the foot connected with his shoulder and an intensely shocking pain brought him upright. The ostrich made a hissing sound and stamped his feet. He circled around Dash, watching him warily. Dash snarled, flattening his ears against his head. The wound was only skin deep, but it stung with every movement.
