Small Delay

It’s 5pm here and we have had company since Friday. 🙂 My in-laws are here and have been helping us do a bunch of things to our house that we can’t do, because being new homeowners, we don’t have any tools beyond a hammer, measuring tape, stud finder, and a socket set. 😀 We’ve been busy from morning to evening yesterday and today painting our daughter’s room, installing curtain rods,… trying to destroy a wild trumpet vine on one of our fences so we can eventually replace the chain link with wood, digging up errant saplings, fixing our ceiling fans and various other things that were missing/messed up around the house. No towel bar in our bathroom, something you miss almost immediately when your shower curtain rod is old and keeps falling down when you put a towel on it! 0.o

So, after all that, you can guess that I am probably NOT working on comics. :/ Alien Dice is going to be delayed until Wednesday, but you’ll get a FULL page on Wednesday!!

      The full list:
      Painted Kim’s bedroom.
      Installed curtains in said bedroom.
      bought curtains and rods. 😀
      Put a hook in kim’s ceiling for her incoming jellyfish canopy. (Somewhere along the line, the room became ocean themed with blues and purples against light yellow walls.)
      Put in a couple strips of trim.
      Took apart our bedroom fan, which was malfunctioning.
      put together new fan and installed it… properly. 😀
      Were instructed on changing heat filters and put in new filter.
      Purchased and put in curtain rods and curtains in dining room. I LOVE our curtains.
      Window was cleaned of stray paint.
      Little plant hook put in on porch.
      Backyard flood light put back in place.
      Wood door replaced over crawlspace.
      Little trees dug up out of back yard.
      A third of our fence line that we share with our good friends and neighbors was obliterated of its covering of trumpet vine, plus two trees and an odd wood dog idol were chopped down.
      All of that was bundled and put over fence.
      Found our patio with a good brushing.
      Lots of leaf raking, even though there are no trees actually IN our back yard. We have a single pine that’s ours in the back corner.

      I think that’s all of it. Our in-laws were kind enough to purchase all the wood/curtains stuff/and a nice rake for us. 😀 We didn’t expect it, so we got a lot more done that we thought we would, since our bank account has a big fat 0 in it.. well.. my paypal says -$10. 😀 Until next week! I get paid sometime!!
