"Just friends still ..." Keith mused over that statement. They were friends. Good friends. Sure, they'd drifted in the past year.
"We were talking about him." Chel glared at Andrea.
"Who's Lexx." Keith said it more as a statement that he had heard the name than a question.
"Just the guy Chel talks about all the time." Andrea shrugged, idly running her right hand through her hair.
"I do not talk about Lex all the time, Andrea. He's just a friend and you know it." Chel was getting more and more irritated at her sister's meddling.
"You're being awfully defensive, Chel -" Andrea reacted to Chel's anger with a calm statement, intending it to anger her more.
"Go away. Now. Andrea." Chel swung her arm up so hard that it hurt her shoulder.
"... leaving." Andrea immediately turned and walked away. She had accomplished her goal.

True. But, sometimes (like this time) I wonder if it was done by her little sister more to protect Chel and Lexx in a way than any other. Remember, Chel’s not good at lying, especially to her dad, but I don’t know how good Andrea is at masking her true reasons(” She had accomplished her goal.”)

She had accomplished her goal. Her goal ws pretty clearly to wreck Chel’s chances with Keith by mentioning that Chel likes Lexx a lot.
