“I’ve seen enough.” Victor turned somberly away from the arena windows. There had been four battles so far and each time the creature that was fighting with Lexx had turned and tried to escape. It seemed really one sided and Victor could not help but feel sorry for the creatures as they ran by the windows. Their eyes were wild with terror and obvious pain. It wasn’t something Victor enjoyed seeing.
“There are many other things you can do and see on my ship and you’re welcome to explore.” Damian offered quickly. “I’ll get someone to escort –“ Damian didn’t get to finish his proposal. There was a clicking noise from the hallway and then the door slid open abruptly.
“What is going on?” Claudia announced her presence in shrill annoyance. “I was just strolling through your garden and we left.”
“What is SHE doing here?” Zaile snarled at Damian.
“I invited her to a party we were going to have later.” Damian responded meekly to Zaile. In truth, he had forgotten that Claudia was on his ship when they left along with the party.
