The window, was open, fortunately and unfortunately. The cat slipped from Lexx's hands just as he jumped. Lexx tried to catch one of her tails, but instead he caught the ground. Muddy ground.
Zeta was waiting. The little creature puffed up slightly, head arced back. Lexx looked up just as he opened his mouth, "NO!! ZETA!!! NO!!" He frantically tried to dissuade him from doing what he was about to do, futilely. A ball of flame shot from the open mouth and flared directly at Lexx, singing his hair and face in the process, but not doing anything more.
