“I’m fine.” Lexx yawned, grabbing the capelet from Riley’s hand. He shook it once and made sure it was facing the right way.
“Maybe you should get some real sleep and let your body recover.” Riley suggested tentatively. He had wanted to broach the subject earlier, but Lexx had not slowed down enough for him to get a word in.
“I need to talk to Chel.” Lexx pulled the caplet over his head and shook his head stubbornly.
“You have 32 hours until we reach Earth. You can afford six hours of rest.” Riley tried to reason with him.
“Can I?” Lexx tugged on the edges of the capelet, flicking his wings out straight so the cloth wouldn’t drape over them.

His wings are black on one side, white on the other. I don’t understand where all the confusion is coming from. When they became feathery wings instead of the “bat-like” wings that’s the color they came.

The coloring is a little darker, but they’ve been that kind of coloring since he got them.

Thanks for the clarification on the wings Tylergal02. I had forgotten that and after I went back and looked at the angles in each panel it made more sense why there was black and white, it was the viewing angle.
Sailoryue, Bad Code I don’t think was trying to rape Chel, but kill her. He was trying to “remove her as a distraction”.

My only question is why the wings look so SMALL now…

Also, they seem to “wander” around a bit.
In the first panel the place where they join his back is about same height as his shoulders and the upper joint clearly above the shoulder line.
In the second panel, they seem to have shifted down quite some distance, with the upper joint of them hardly reaching his shoulders.
I’m sure it’s not easy to draw them, so it’s most likely just an “art error”, if I may call it that.
It’s also possible that he moves them around a bit (out of the way) while dressing himself.
Oh, btw, I love the “almost tantrum” face Lexx has in the first panel. Like some kind of disgruntled child, getting told off by his parent for staying up too late. 😀

I don’t notice the “wing wander”, but one thing I do wonder about is Riley having clothes for Lexx’s “new side”…I remember Lexx going basicly shirtless when he first rolled to a “winged” side, because he had no clothes that fit his wings (and had to get them pierced for hooks or buckles or what not). Here he is up another side, but Riley’s got clothing that fit’s that form.
What gives? Old clothes from his last go-round maybe?

They aren’t wandering. 9.9 The bases are now intentionally covered by cloth and the backs are turned out.
