His back burned, but the dice was gone, falling onto a sand dune far below. Momentarily dazed, movement drew Lexx’s gaze to his remaining opponents. Giant folded his wings, closing the distance in the blink of an eye. Massive arms spread. Lexx didn’t bother attempting to dodge. He remained where he was and Giant’s hands passed through his body as if sifting sand. Time to end this. Lexx moved painfully slow, fighting the nanites feeding his body with an increasingly powerful urge to evade. He had to allow the hit this time. Vest’s wings slapped the air as he approached Lexx. His fist glowed as he drew back. The punch landed solidly on Lexx’s cheek. Stars briefly flashed across a field of darkness. Ice cold shards ripped across his back coming from a second attack. After their long battle, the attacks were not nearly as powerful as they would have been at the start. Lexx tilted as if they had overtaken him. They’d assumed all the running had weakened him. He relaxed his wings and fell out of their range within seconds.
