I’ve put everyone in unnecessary danger … and why? Lexx felt a wave of guilt wash over him.  He felt horrible for what he had done to his Dice.  They depended on him.  He took care of them.  And he had hurt them.  My selfish desires? Even as he thought it, it nagged at him that the Dice wanted Chel back and would do anything to help.  Selfish. He pushed the Dice out of his mind.  It was he who wanted Chel back the most.  He wanted her safe.  Why can’t I have what I want? He wanted her with him. Why is this happening to me? What did I do? Lexx’s thought pattern degraded into his usual train of thoughts.  What?  Why can’t I just be left alone? I didn’t ask for any of this. Lexx turned away from the window and leaned back against the cool glass.  I certainly never asked … to be in love. It was becoming easier to admit that fact.  He loved her.  Right now, he ached inside because she was not with him.  She wasn’t safe and even though being with him might be dangerous, he was there to protect her.  What was happening to her right now?  What were they doing to her?  He didn’t allow himself to imagine any further, certain that despite his worst thoughts, they would not harm her.  It wouldn’t look good and the ADC and .. Trasik, were all about appearances.

    Okay. Good news. He’s self aware of his feelings.

    bad news, it also sounds like he’s backsliding a bit and resenting the fact – which is fine in and of itself – but let’s hope he’s adult enough to get over it, or thinki his way through. I’ve seen plenty of relationships self destruct on when someone gets stuck on this point.

    Gack ack ack ack ack! Hey hey hey Disney already did this once with Meg from ‘hercules’ on the ‘I won’t say i’m in love’ song bit. Do some of the dice need to go into a musical number throwing the fact that you’re in love in your face and that it’s not a BAD thing?!?

      I can just imagine that, all led by Serenity and Fly. Though in order to do it without making the rest of the people think them all bonkers, it would have to be over the relay.

    Awww….O_O Tiff, this strip is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Thought you should know. XD You can certainly tell your artwork has improved just by how much older they look now! Chel and Lexx actually look like adults, they seemed much younger in the beginning of the comic.
    And Lexx, I don’t think ANYONE asks for it. x3 It just kinda hits ya in the face saying ‘HAI THERE’

    Yes this is a really beautiful strip. But darnit, with the comments above I am now imagining the Dice in a chorus line behind Lexx and Chel gazing into each other’s eyes…
