"You should probably go now." Lexx was still smiling, pleased to see that Chel was smiling back at him and looked less nervous. "I will see you tomorrow morning on the beach? 12 of your hours from now?"
"Sure!" Chel replied without a second thought.
Lexx grinned. Today was all he had… and he felt good. He might not have what he wanted, but at least he wasn't completely missing it as well.
Meanwhile, Riley's ship had arrived ahead of schedule. Riley and Maelinn had just boarded the ship through a ship to ship door and had been met by a greeting party, with one very exuberant member.
"Uncle Riley!!" A familiar, yet completely unexpected voice echoed through the hallway just outside the door room.
Riley's jaw dropped and for a moment, he was speechless.

Though I’m afraid, Chel will most likely not be able to make it to that beach appointment…
