Day-27-1-01

Hours more passed in different rooms with different scientists, each one asking an array of questions. Lexx realized that he was asked the same questions in every session, worded in different ways. He could only assume they were trying to catch him in some imagined lie. Lexx answered each question exactly. It wasn’t difficult for him to keep track. He didn’t have anything to hide and there were no questions involving the game, until he was handed a blank sheet of paper with one sentence on it. Please write down anything you cannot say. We know you are being monitored. Lexx considered the question. Nanobot cameras were watching him. They had followed him into the base and knew his exact location and could see everything he did and hear everything, unless he didn’t want them to. One of the little gifts the Architects had given him came to mind. He smiled and began writing, thinking how convenient it was that he could write in this language. Lexx began writing in quick, fluid strokes, before he realized that his method of writing not be easily read by humans. He began again in the same type of print as the sentence was written in. It was tedious and slow, but for now, Lexx did not have a lot to say. Lexx reiterated his desires to be left to his own devices and not have anyone interfere in his game. He also made sure to note that he would not work or communicate with any humans he did not already know and required Chel to come with him wherever he went. Lexx felt the need to keep her close, just in case he had to leave in a hurry. When they were finally done, Lexx was escorted to a large living area that was a stark contrast to the sterilized rooms he had spent most of the day in. There was a table set out with food and bottle water. Lexx took one of the bottles of water, but felt his stomach churn looking at the pile of square and triangular foods filled with leaves, grey goop, pink and yellow slivers of something or brown and purple or red jelly like substances. Victor was already there, sitting on a very comfortable looking brown couch in the middle of the room with a plate of food piled up on it. Vic had motioned to one of the rooms, letting Lexx know if he wanted some privacy, he could take one of the rooms. Lexx took his water into one, finding a small room with padded walls that knocked out all the sound. He closed the door behind him and tested the bed. Lexx didn’t intend to sleep, but someplace soft to sit would be welcome. He sank into the thick cushion on the bed, confused for a moment by how comfortable it was. He had expected something far less cushy. Lexx ran his hands over the thin blanket covering the bed. It was some sort of plush fabric that was also very soft and felt good under his fingertips. That wasn’t so bad. Boring and dull, but it’s over now. Lexx stared across the room at a picture of what looked like foaming sea waves. It was very soothing to look at. I didn’t get to see Chel. Lexx went over his thoughts. I think they’re keeping us apart on purpose. He smiled, glancing at one of the two black globes positioned in opposite corners of the room. He knew there were cameras there, watching him. They don’t know about the relay. Lexx laid back on the bed, fanning his short wings out beneath him and placing his arms under his head. I’ll wait until Hear them. He closed his eyes, feeling a little drowsy now that he had stopped moving. The bed was comfortable. He kept his relay open, setting it to alert him when Chel was a specific distance away. Oh look.. Lexx is SMILING. And BEFORE I FORGET AGAIN - The Ultrabook that HP sent me is up for sale so I can replace it with a laptop I can actually use for art. :(

  1. Lexx is smiling? Careful. If he is smiling it would mean that he is no longer feeling blue. And if he is not blue then it would create a logical paradox and he would cease to exist.

Also it looks like the new wings are starting to grow out. How long till he can use them?

  2. I have read this comic since high school starting around Lexx’s fight with the two headed dragon. I am sad to see it ending, but very excited to have a conclusion.

    1. No, no no no, don’t talk like that, we’ve still got awhile to go….I think?

  3. I really hope that these scientists don’t turn out to be bad guys I’m really liking them a lot.
