'I'm going to have to play this carefully. Riley threatened my family. He knows where I live.' Victor slowed down as the hall became too crowded to avoid having to maneuver around people. 'I gave him a reason to hurt me, but he seemed to go out of his way to escape without injuring me. Was I imagining it, or had he been bluffing the entire time?' It was intriguing; a mystery to be unraveled. Victor did not feel he had to be afraid of Riley. 'There's a slim chance he will show up to put emphasis on his bluff, if that is what it was.' Victor's thoughts were geared toward detaining Riley or anyone he was associated with for light interrogation. 'I won't be home as early as I would like, but I can't raise any suspicions. I could be there in a few hours, instead, I'll be sitting in a van across the street until noon…' Vic checked his plane ticket and the gate and veered off to one side. It would only be a few more minutes and he would be on an airplane home.
